In 1983 the 37 year old Linda Ronstadt saw the then 21 year old Jim Carrey doing stand-up at The Comedy Store and asked him to be the opener for her upcoming tour. Carrey & Ronstadt then began a 6 month relationship both on tour and afterwards, living together in Ronstadt’s L.A mansion. During this time they collaborated on this Toni Basil directed video for Linda’s 1984 single “You Took Advantage of Me” (.)
